jurassicplayer Do not use mono ever. The 3ds does not expect nor correctly handle themes with mono BGMs or SFX.

DSForever That's true. I usually find the mono audio to be best if you're trying to fit large tracks into the theme, which some people might try to do, being their first theme.

CorvusSulfide I think there are actually some problems with using Mono audio for themes. If you have headphones, it's only in one ear, and sometimes causes static or clicking.
