Sonic the Fighters
A theme based off of Sonic the Fighters (or Sonic Championship in the West), a game released for the Sega Model 2 arcade board in 1996. It essentially put Sonic characters in Fighting Vipers, containing monotonous fighting mechanics and slap-stick violence. Its soundtrack was composed by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, who had also made the soundtrack for games like Burning Rangers, and Daytona USA. Due to the violent nature of the game, Sega was overly cautious about releasing this game overseas, hence the rarity of this game.
