This theme is based on the anime Sherlock Hound (名探偵ホームズ, Meitantei Hōmuzu), a Japanese-Italian animated series originally aired in 1984. The show was directed by Hayao Miyazaki (episodes 1–6) and Kyosuke Mikuriya, and is a loose adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories—with all characters portrayed as anthropomorphic dogs.

The background image is from the series, featuring Sherlock Hound, Mrs. Hudson, and Watson in a peaceful garden scene. The BGM used is “A Story Which Fell from the Sky” (空からこぼれた話), one of the tracks from the official Sherlock Hound soundtrack composed by Kentaro Haneda.

The show aired under the name Sherlock Hound in the U.S. and other English-speaking countries, and as Il fiuto di Sherlock Holmes in Italy, where it was a co-production with RAI.
